Can't Help But Compare Them Already

For those of you who commented that you thought Wesley looks like David...you were right!

Above is a picture of David just before we left the hospital.
This is a picture of Wesley (in the same UGA sleeper no less) before we left the hospital. Pretty close, huh? Actually, David was born with about two times the amount of hair Wesley has. No kidding! To be fair, I should state that David spent three weeks longer in utero. So...I guess Wesley will look pretty similar to this in two and a half years... David has been one awesome big brother so Jason decided to reward his good behavior with a CAT construction electric train complete with diggers, bulldozers, and dump trucks which ride on top of railway cars. (Of course engine, tender car, and caboose were also included.) David's two loves trains and construction combined together for only $12! Does it get any better????
The above picture showcases one of the smartest parenting decisions Jason and I have made thus far (and may be why David has transitioned from only child to big brother so well). Most people buy the older sibling a gift when a younger sibling is born. We did that, but decided to tell him the gift was from Wesley! David has been asking for "Mack" for about a month now. We bought it and saved it to give him the day he met his younger brother. He loves it and will be the first to tell you who gave it to him!

Cool new toy! Where did you find that bargain? They look So much alike! Scary huh? We did the same. Marleigh had a gift for D at the hospital! Too cute! Glad things look like they are going well! We will visit once you are settle and ready for some infant chaos! LOL

That is SO wild! It will be interesting to see how much they look alike along the way. We got Lindsay a gift to bring the baby when she comes (a pewter rattle that eventually we'll engrave, when we have a name HA!) and Lindsay a gift from her sister. She's getting her own newborn baby and a graco car seat carrier like she will be seeing us use. I can already see us heading out to the store with baby in the carrier and Lindsay following with her baby in the carrier. TOO CUTE!

Glad you are doing well and already blogging away. Keep those precious photos coming!

Thanks for your prayers for Mike. We're sort of in the middle of another family emergency. My sister's FIL is in ICU and probably won't make it through the night. It's Grandpa Dubois which you've seen with Lindsay on my blog many times. They've already called in the Priest for the morning. Please keep Grandpa in your prayers as well! Thanks!

I love seeing these pictures. David looks like a great big brother! About the boys wearing the same UGA sleeper home... did you read something about the importance of development for sports fans and how the earlier you get a kid in fan-gear, the more likely they are to become a fan themselves? Just looking for pointers...

Very cute!! I'm glad David is transitioning so well!! Where did you get the toy, Evan would love it also!! When he was born, he gave Avery a gift, too!! I think it helps bribe them into thinking that having the baby around will be okay!! Still can't wait to meet Wesley, and thanks for the congratulations...I was very nervous there for a few hours..about 48 of them! :)
