Pirate! Arrrr!

First let me start by saying-Yes, its a bad picture, but No, I couldn't do any better. We decided David should be a pirate for Halloween this year. For the longest time I thought he was going to be a train engineer, but Jason brought up a good point; since he pretty much pretends he's an engineer every other day of the year, he should be something different for Halloween. David loves the pirate episode of the backyardigans, he pretends he's a pirate every time we go to a playground, and he even points out pirates in real life , so it was pretty much a no-brainer. What was difficult was finding a pirate costume that wasn't "edgy" because of the popularity of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and certain characters in the series. Last year David was still a little to young to enjoy much about Halloween (he wasn't walking yet) so I'm excited for David to experience trick or treating for the first time this year!

Oh that's a great costume!! He's going to be a great pirate! I can't wait for Halloween either. We're working on "trick or treat" with Lindsay. :)

He looks great, andrea! love it!

Joe wants to wear his frickin' Elvis costume again this year. ugh. this is going to be a hard battle, i can tell. he was all gung ho about being scooby until he found that velour white bell bottom jumpsuit in the closet and started reminiscing about blue suede shoes & hound dogs and before ya know it, he had the costume on which of course makes him look like a flood is coming-it's so short. oh, but i digress..... :)

Kade was a pirate when he was 2. The same costume. I could not get a good picture of him either that year. He looks so cute!!

that's a wonderful costume. David is quite the handsome pirate. Glad you were able to find what you were looking for.

He's the best-looking pirate I've ever seen...except for Captain Jack of course. Jack makes me go weak in the knees like nobody's been able to do since Han Solo came onto the scene. Sigh.

Anyways....I don't know what Ben's going to wear. He hates the tiger costume Patrick wore that this age. Whatever, he's wearing it or NO CANDY!

I remember Kade in that very same costume! Too cute! He'll make a very cute pirate!

Morgan loves that episode of Backyardigans too! I have it on the DVR.
