What's In A Name ???

I finally have a definitive diagnosis to my ongoing health issues: Minimal Change Disease. Which, my family and friends have all decided is a totally lame name! The name comes from the fact that there is "minimal change" between the biopsied tissue of a regular functioning kidney and the biopsied tissue of a kidney with MCD under a regular microscope. It takes a high powered electron microscope to see the disease. However, the name is very misleading because the disease does MAXIMAL change to one's body! Thanks for continued prayers. I Should be out of the hospital in a few days...

Tell me about it...I had to google it and still didn't completely understand what it was saying. You can just tell it to get a grip on it's lame 'ole self and get right on outta here. At least you have a definite source of the problem now. I hope that the worst of the battle is over and now you can begin getting better. Looks like you already got a BIG dose of the best medicine around....the love of your little one!!!

Andrea you look terrific and I'm glad Wesley got to visit. I know your children are missing you, but right now you've got to take care of Andrea. My hat is off to Jason for juggling the many different hats of daddy, mommy, husband, and financial provider. God Bless you all! Chris (katie's mom)Praying you will be home soon.
