I don't want to let go

My favorite time of day with David is putting him to bed for the night. After he is fed, changed into his sleeper and clean diaper, I hold him for a few minutes beside his crib. He puts his head on my shoulder and wraps his arms around my shoulders and plays with my hair. I rub his back and tell him how much I love him. It sure is hard to put him in his crib! After awhile I know I have to, so I lay him down and wrap him in a blanket. We say a few prayers together while I rub his face as he stares at me smiling. These are the moments I know I will remember forever.
