Another Mountain Weekend

We went to the Goodrow's mountain home again last weekend and I am just now getting around to posting it-sorry! I spent most of the week playing catch-up on all the household chores! The Beckman's joined us this trip, and Joel's parents were also there this time for a total of 8 adults and 6 kids!

David, Joel's dad, holding Leslie.

Susie, Joel's Mom, reading to Elena and David.

Don't let this picture fool you. Elena and David have ended their love affair (we think.) Elena grew up and David decided he likes to play with boys better than girls. They pushed each other's buttons the whole weekend...

...but managed to cooperate long enough to decorate this ginger bread house Susie bought for the kids. Meanwhile, David's cousin, Ben has decided to step in and take over the role of Elena's boyfriend.

We had beautiful weather most of the weekend.

Once again, we roasted s'mores in the outdoor fireplace.
Leslie enjoying an adirondack chair.

Wesley enjoying the mountain air. Bobby and David were attached at the hip all weekend. They had a great time playing together......and getting into trouble. Bobby's daddy called them the "Tornado Brothers".

Elena playing the role of mommy...
...and big sister.

The kids enjoyed watching "Polar Express" at night.

So cute in their jammies!

All 6 kids of our kids;Ethan and Elena, Wesley and David, Leslie and Bobby. Whew!

Thanks David and Susie for opening your home to us! We had a wonderful time.

What a fun weekend! In the first pic it looks like you guys are in a swanky mountain hotel!!! That and the scenery and Elena's cute little vest and I'm imagining a L.L. Bean photo shoot!!!

It was a great bonding trip. Thanks for always being there to listen and give great mom advice. Great pictures of the boys. Bobby keeps asking when we are going to your house. He misses his partner in crime.

What a great way to spend a beautiful fall weekend with such wonderful friends. My favorite picture is of David in the next to last one with his friends. He looks like he couldn't be more happy with his bus and his buddies!
