The day didn't go exactly as I had planned. David is really thrown off by this time change. He was napping when we set our all time record high for trick-or-treaters. We had 6 (Three groups of two). This breaks our previous record of 1 set back in 2001. Oh well...there's always next year. Happy Halloween!

Look Who Showed Up Yesterday
Wish I could say I had something to do with it, but I got as far as Jason's office when Granny called to say the well company finally showed up. Lucky for them 'cause I would have been good and mad after a 2 hour drive to their office. They got 285 ft. down yesterday before it was quittin' time. No water yet...but I expect them back any minute now...will I get to take a shower, run a load of laundry, or wash some dishes tonight? The saga continues...

Come Well or No Water
We are out of water again. If you don't hear from me for a few days, I'm probably in jail because I've taken out some people at Sandersville Well Company-that's right I used the name. Tomorrow, come well or no water, I am headed to their office to have a "come to Jesus meeting". When I look at this sweet little face I get so angry that he has to miss baths, relocate, or any other inconvience they have put us through. Look out-mama's on a mission and David is my motivation! To be continued...

Uncle Matt
A sneak attack
Bribing him with a toy
Our best friend Matt is here visiting. He is in town for a teacher conference. Tomorrow we are going to the Georgia game (Aunt Christy we will miss you as we reminisce about old times in Athens-it won't be the same without you).
David has proved himself shy once again. He will laugh and giggle at Matt across the room, but anytime Matt tries to pick him up, David turns his head and grabs on to Jason or myself. Is this because I stay home with him, or because I was a shy as a child...anyone have any advice on how I can get him to be more social?

Today's Obersvations
Rainy days can be happy (if you have sod that is thirsty).
Suv's are not made for parking decks.
Parking decks should not be driven by people who have acrophobia, claustrophobia, or get motion sickness driving in circles.
Girls can talk about football over lunch (wonder if Coach Richt could hear us Amanda?)
The word "No" is very funny to a 13 month old.

Oma's Birthday and Oktoberfest
Lara, Oma, David, and yours truly
Bier, bratwurst, lederhosen, and polka
Yesterday was Oma's (grandma in german) birthday. After having another fun day of shopping with the girls we headed to Basket Bakery restaurant to celebrate with the rest of the family. Oktoberfest is in full swing and mom wanted to get back to her german roots. Not only do I come from german descent, but my parents lived in Germany for a few years before my sister and I were born. I love you mom and Alles Gute zum Geburstag!

Better Late Than Never
Well we've had it for a month now, but finally put David's birthday present together last night. After going to Davis' birthday party we knew we just had to get one like that.

Granny's Birthday
Today was Granny's Birthday! She spent the night with us last night after a long day of babysitting. After church this morning she was in for a surprise. Her sister Marilyn drove up from St. Simons Island to spend the day with her. We celebrated at the Blue Willow Inn Restaurant in Social Circle. Cousin/Nephew Justin came as well as my parents. A good time was had by all...can't wait to celebrate your 29th birthday again next year, Pat!

No, Diego, No!
The kids show "Go, Diego, Go" should come with the disclaimer "Don't try this at home". This morning Diego saved an anaconda and wrapped the snake around his neck stating they "are really good at giving hugs". Say what? Anacondas kill their prey by constricting!
