A Little Help Here

Pretend for a moment that your husband left on Monday for a hunting trip to Iowa and he comes home tonight. You've had parent duty alone for the past few days. Your husband has promised you that since he has Friday off for Veterans day he will let you have an afternoon all to yourself. You don't want to go shopping or spend much money since Christmas is only 45 days away. However, you would like to relax and have a good time...what would you do?

Shopping is a must - but I do that with D three or four times a week! I LOVE Mall of GA! I would have to say that I go and get a massage or a facial at a Spa! Had one a few weeks ago and I would LOVE to go again! TREAT yourself!!! Live it up girl! While your at it get your nails and tootsies done too!

I love shopping, but it just makes me tired and then I have to come home to babies. Do a SPA....who cares how much it costs? It's RELAXING!!!!!!

Okay people these are all good suggestions, but let's do the math.

Stay at home mom + make no money = spend no money.

What can I do for free or for really, really cheap?

You can have him take David elsewhere and stay in your bed and sleep all day. Absolutely free.

Go eat at a VERY QUIET restaurant, then go see a chick flick at a dollar theater. Just get outta the house. :)

I had a big event this wk; I walked two blocks over for lunch today since it was gorgeous outside. I loved walking around downtown on the brick roads looking at the beautiful buildings. We got takeout at a RITZY restaurant (charged us an 18% tip for a to-go/room service order). Anyhoo, it was worth the $$$ to spend the time quietly walking and enjoying the scenery.

I think the walking idea is great, especially around a lake or something. Isn't Lake Oconee not too far away? Or going to see family or friends is always nice. What about playing tourist for a day? A friend of mine used to love to do that--she pick a medium sized town and go to the welcome center and get brochures and just walk around the town.
