Lara's Baby Shower

My sister's friend Darcy and I hosted a baby shower for Lara on Saturday. We all decided the highlight of any shower (whether it be wedding or baby) is the food. As you can see above we had chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, veggies, artichoke dip, 7-layer bean dip, and a cake from Rhodes bakery. To drink we had blue punch (I think you can find this receipe online as well as pink punch for baby girls). Lara got diapers and wipes, bottles, a new diaper bag, a new changing pad, and a new stroller. Not much longer before John William "Will" gets here (she's due February 14th). I can't wait to be able to post pics of my new nephew!

Nice work with the links to the bakery and stroller! We got a wedding cake type top layer from Rhodes Bakery, for our first anniversary, since our wedding cake was dry. It looks like a good time and good food. Congrats again to Lara.

Us girls love the finger foods, don't we? :) I was thinking to myself that I would have LOVED to eaten there before I even read what it all was!

Congratulations on the upcoming new addition! Does it seem that boys waaay outnumber girls these days?

Katie-their other son Ben's birthday is February 27th...to throw or not to throw dual birthday parties from here on out?

Tara-so Rhodes messed up your wedding cake?

Amanda-yes it does seem everyone is having boys lately. I know both sides of the family are depending on me to have a girl...

That IS some crazy punch! I'm sure it tasted totally normal, but I may have been a little hesitant. ;) Everything else looks great--yummy!

My top layer wedding cake is still in my freezer. I couldn't bear to eat it--it was so pretty. I can't imagine how it tastes now, over 5 years later!!!!
