Grocery shopping with David has become increasingly difficult. During our last trip together Publix was heavily decorated for valentine's day. Right away David took notice of the many balloons they had scattered across the store. In order to appease him and make the trip a little easier I went ahead and snatched one up and gave it to him to play with. It worked and I was able to shop with ease. As you can see we've made good use of it since its been home.

I just don't get why those balloons are so expensive! Joe always wants a "buh-yoon" when we got to "Happy Foger" but i just can't get over the cost of it.
Yes, I fear I've started a trend in that David will now want one EVERY time we go to the store. That 'ain't happenin'.
i want your kitchen table by the way. i love that table. actually, i love your whole freaking house and want your hardwood floors too!!!
Savannah will just chase spots of light around out house. It can be the reflection of your watch, the flashlight, or her all-time favorite: the laser pointer. It's free and it lasts for hours. Of course the trade-off is that she's completely neurotic...
So what does David think of his doggy stealing his new toy? Does he giggle?
At least it's mylar and will last a while. Our Elmo head balloon is STILL floating from a barstool and that show was what...a month ago?
I had a mylar balloon that someone gave me when Patrick was born--I finally had to stick a knife through it when we moved two years later. It was just filled with air, though, not helium--it came in a floral arrangement.
I know what kind of balloon you're talking about...I had one when I was little that lasted for probably 3-4 years. It was of the Monchichi's (spelling?). Does anyone else remember that cartoon? They were little furry creatures and and the theme song started out "monchichi, monchichi...". Of course, it didn't last long or else we would have heard about it for years; the only reason I remember is the balloon.
The only reason I remember what the monchichis are is because they did a spot on them on one of the VH1 "I love the 80's".
ahh, amanda, i loved the Monchichi's!
Monchichi, Monchichi, you're so soft and cuddly!
Yay Katie!!! Wonder how long those things were on TV?
I had a ton of those balloons when Evan was born and our kitten bit the strings on each one so they all were up in the ceiling with no strings to pull them down. At least your beautiful dog can't do that.
I had to google those monchichi 'cause I had no idea...I sort of remember 'em...I think.
